Xiao (Helen) Liu
Associate
Helen brings her international experience to help clients in civil litigation and dispute resolution. Her practice is primarily in corporate and commercial matters, including contractual issues, real property disputes, shareholder’s conflicts, and debt claims. She also has experience in various general litigation matters, notably family law with a focus on property division. Helen regularly represents clients at the British Columbia Provincial and Supreme Courts.
Prior to joining Fraser Litigation Group, Helen articled and practiced at a local boutique firm, then practiced at a firm in downtown Vancouver. She had opportunities to work with senior counsel and also conduct her own files in a wide range of practice areas including solicitor’s work, which informs her current litigation practice.
Helen was born and raised in China, and completed her Bachelor’s of Law (LLB) there. She then studied in the United States where she obtained a Master’s in Accounting and Master’s of Law (LLM) before moving to Vancouver. Helen’s extensive academic and working experience gained abroad helps her advise and relate to clients with diverse backgrounds. Her cross-cultural background in particular enables her to effectively assist Chinese clients with a unique cultural understanding and pragmatism.
