Jack Ruttle

Associate


Jack is a senior associate at Fraser Litigation Group.

He is a thoughtful and creative litigator who enjoys finding pragmatic solutions to complex problems. He is known for his collegial approach to litigation and his ability to build strong working relationships with both clients and opposing counsel, which helps him efficiently and effectively advance his clients’ interests.

Jack has extensive litigation experience, with particular expertise complex commercial disputes, public law, class actions, and employment matters. He has argued at all levels of court in British Columbia and at the Federal Court. He has worked on Supreme Court of Canada matters. Jack has also represented his clients in commercial arbitrations, mediations, administrative hearings, and regulatory investigations.

Prior to joining the firm, Jack articled and worked at a large national law firm and was a counsel at the civil litigation branch of the BC Ministry of Attorney General.

Before starting his legal career, Jack earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (with Distinction) from Simon Fraser University and received his Juris Doctor in 2016 from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia. He was called to the British Columbia bar in 2017.

Outside of the office, you are likely to find Jack cooking, planning his next trip, mixing electronic music, or chasing after his very energetic daughter.
